Hey there! I’m Alyssa Jarrett, a passionate romance author and tech marketer based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

My debut novel, Love Apptually, is a Silicon Valley rom-com about a celebrity stylist who’s hired to give an eccentric tech founder a makeover—whether he likes it or not.

When I’m not telling stories, you can find me drinking an iced sweet tea or cuddling with my three cats.

What is Grumpy + Sunshine?

The grumpy/sunshine trope is one of my favorites in romance because it describes the delectable character balance between salty and sweet. The literary Reese’s peanut butter cup, if you will!

You know the parable about the two wolves battling inside us, one good and one evil? The lesson is the one who will win is the one you feed.

Well, frankly, I want to feed them both. I want to indulge my grumpy side by complaining about my bookish pet peeves and share my sunshine side by celebrating the amazing people, places, and things in my life.
