I can’t believe today is finally here!
May 21, 2024, will forever be the day I officially became a published author, and I have you all to thank for that. Love Apptually would not exist without the support and encouragement of everyone who’s joined me on this path to publication.
Keep scrolling to the end for all the news and celebration around the book launch, and don’t forget to sign up to stay in the know ⬇️
Love Apptually Is Out Now
To cut to the chase, you can get a copy of the book in a variety of ways:
Ebooks are available on Amazon, either to purchase or borrow in Kindle Unlimited
You can order a paperback online wherever books are sold: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org
And if you want a signed copy with exclusive tie-in goodies, you can order directly from my Etsy shop!

Guess Who Was Seen on TV?!
Yesterday was truly a surreal moment: I was invited to drop by the KRON4 studio in San Francisco to talk about my book on Live! In the Bay.
As expected, I was a tightly wound ball of anxiety, but the host Jessica Wills and the rest of the crew made me feel right at home. You can watch the full interview here.
Catch Me in Conversation
One of the announcements I made in that TV interview is that I’ll be doing my first book event next month!
On June 5, I’ll be joining fellow debut author Jaclyn Westlake in conversation at Books Inc. Berkeley to discuss her novel Dear Dotty and share our experiences working in Silicon Valley.
Come join us—it’s sure to be tons of fun. RSVP to the event to guarantee your spot!

I’ve had so many great chats about my book with the creatives I admire most. Here are the 3 podcast episodes you need to add to your queue.
The Write-Life Balance, hosted by Sophia Le. We chat about my journey to self-publication and why I decided to put myself in the driver’s seat of my own author career.
Settling Is Bullsh!t, hosted by Cate Blouke. We talk about taking the guilt of our “guilty pleasures,” chasing our childhood dreams, and werewolf erotica—because why the hell not?
Handled(ish), hosted by Betsy Hays. I drop by to share my productivity tips and reveal why Comic Sans (gasp!) makes me a better writer.
And make sure to subscribe to The Author Stack because later this week, I’ll be sharing a guest post about the NSFW framework I use to market my book ;)
Celebrate Good Times, Come On

I’m still coming down from the high of the book launch party we threw at Drake’s Dealership in Oakland over the weekend. A bunch of my closest friends stuffed our faces with pizza, beer, and an adorable book cover cake from Lavender Bakery.
Our accomplishments hold so much more meaning when we celebrate them with the people we love. Thanks to everyone who came to show their support! You all made the night one to remember forever ❤️
That’s it from me for now! Please order your copy of Love Apptually, tell all your friends to do the same, and, if you’re in tech, invite me to your corporate book clubs—because the only thing more hilarious than working in Silicon Valley is poking fun at it between the pages!
XOXO Alyssa
So happy for you, Alyssa! Bravo on all the great coverage, too!
HUZZAH!!
